Pack Your Bags for the Road to the Final Four

By Charlie Zegers, About.com

Location, Location, Location

Getting a ticket to the Final Four is not unlike getting a ticket to the Super Bowl -- you need to be lucky, have a connection, or spend a tremendous amount of money as an advertiser on CBS. But the earlier rounds offer a tremendous sports fan experience at a reasonable cost, and the tickets aren't that tough to get -- if you're willing to buy in advance and see whatever teams happen to be assigned to your venue.

If you're a fan of a specific team, hoping to travel with them wherever they play, your best bet is to get tickets through the school or alumni association.

Of course, the best place to watch the games might very well be your own sofa. The first round in particular -- with games starting around noon Eastern and running until after midnight -- is couch potato nirvana.

The 2008 tournament will be played at the following locations:

Play-In Game - March 18:

First and Second Rounds - March 20-23 Sweet 16/Elite 8 - March 27-30

Final Four - April 5-7:

Locations are determined years in advance. For more information on sites and ticket lottery applications, consult the NCAA's official website.
